One aspect I enjoy about living in New York is how easily accessible my favorite dessert places are. When my sister, who has a huge sweet tooth, came to visit, we spent a Sunday in SoHo, shopping and stopping by any place that looked delicious.

The rainy weather was not ideal for going out, but it was an opportunity to wear something other than a big, puffy parka. I was so excited to pull out my trench coat from my closet. It’s the perfect transition piece for those days when it is too cold to go out with only a sweater but too warm to wear a parka.
I remember when I was deciding between the honey and black trench coats, but I am so so so glad I went with the black. It goes with all my work clothes, and it looks equally stylish when paired with jeans as in this outfit (not pictured).
After brunch at Chefs Club Counter, where we enjoyed our JG (Jean George’s) burgers, we shopped around until we stumbled upon Balthazar Bakery. I think this may be one of my favorite bakeries now. Every pastry I got here was so soft and fresh. I highly recommend their small cheesecakes and almond croissants. I am intrigued to try the restaurant also!
Our final dessert spot was, of course, Ladurée, as my sister is a huge fan… How cute are the Valentine’s Day macarons?
Thank you for reading!
